Which Traziun thing?
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

I still can't get my head around the whole sword destroying itself from remorse thing.. The one time it feels remorse is the one time it had no choice but to be used for someones death.

Did it feel remorse because it was the instrument that killed it's friend? Did it feel remorse because it was the instrument that killed Rhue's friend? And with either of thoughs, why did it not feel remorse when it killed Lexus?

Did it instead somehow form bonds with its wielder and in the couple of seconds Traziun held the sword a bond was formed, which then caused the remorse from his death..? Or did it somehow feel Traziun's emotions of what had happened to lead him to this point?

Well, if the sword has its own agenda of what type of people its supposed to kill, then maby in its mind Traziun shouldn't have died.

Thats hard to justify, as the only agenda for who the sword wouldn't kill that we clearly saw was children..

It didn't have any worries about killing Lexus or Lyrra either.

Maybe it's because Traziun was Rhue's closest friend, and when Traziun stabbed himself, he was deliberately causing death, but was doing it with no negative intentions.

If that were true, makes me wander whether the sword felt something specifically for Traziun or just had some reflected feelings from Rhue or something...

I'm pretty sure this has already been discussed. I'm not sure, my brain isn't on today. But anywho, I think the sword shattered becuase of what Sage of the Wise said.
In this day and age, an era where there are people who actually throw shit at each other, anything, could be possible.

There was some stuff about it somewhere that I remember reading only yesterday.. After searching for it again for over half an hour I can't find it now..

Anyway, I think that thread tailed off with a inconculsive conculsion that I didn't believe. I'm more inclined to believe something more like what Imoto said or perhaps something to do with the nature of suicides.

So I intended to move into a "Can the sword actually feel for others on its own?" kinda of question which, to my knowledge, hasn't been discussed yet.

There have been a number of instances in other films/games where inanimate objects are capable of independant/sentient thought (such as Jumanji). So the theory of the sword having feelings is actually quite likely. Or there could be some kind of ancient magic which was set up by the purpose or some other uber-powerful-god-like-thing which causes shadow swords to shatter when they are used to right a wrong or something like that.

I am certain it is capable of idenpendant thought, it has done things to preserve its existence with its wielder; its repelled others like itself; been able to control Rhue to do its bidding...

As for emotions.. To destroy itself through remorse, I'd say it does have some kind of emotions... Even if it was initially reflect from Rhue, the capacity to feel emotions must be there. It does also have its own original aura too, more like other sentient beings on the Way..

Theory: Illuminati were created by somehow putting the souls of powerful and virtuous people with high capacities for absorbing auras, into weapons.

Sounds like an idea.. Has it been said where/how these swords were created in the first place?

So shadow swords must be filled with the dregs of the souls of the damned?
