Can anyone help me simplifying these Ration algebraic expressions?

Thanks in advance!

Okay. Considering I've done basically nothing on Rational Algerbraic Expressions I'll give it a shot, but don't take my word for it. I'll also have it noted that I was just seeing what I could do with most of these expressions, they are probably wrong. Stupid Maths.

(Note: I use (2) for squared and simply use the divide symbol (/) for divide. No lines or crazy stuff like that. I also put them in quotes to make them easier to see)

1. mx-2nx+my-2ny
/ m(2)-4n(2)

First thing I noticed was you can factorise the bottom:
m(2)-4n(2) = (m+2n)(m-2n) = m(2)-4n(2)+2nm-2nm = m(2)-4n(2)

Then I got stuck. Mainly because the Numerator has xs and ys. Otherwise I'd be set. Oh well, maybe somebody can continue with this line of thought.

2. 2-x
/ x(2)-4

So anyway, I thought it was easier to factorise the bottom:

x(2)-4 = (x+2)(x-2)

2-x
/(x+2)(x-2)

Now I'm not too sure on account of my lack of experiance in this area of maths. Now I'm sure it's due to this lack of experiance that I can't do anything with that. It LOOKS like you can do something with it. I'm not too sure...

3. by-by
/ y-x

Doesn't this just equal 0 as the numerator is 0? by-by=0
0/Anything = 0

Or maybe by-by = (b+b)(y-y) That that trail of thought left me nowhere.

4. x(2)-7x+12
/ 12-7X+x(2)

Is it me, or does this look like the easiest problem in the universe?
Just rearranging the denominator makes:

x(2)-7x+12
/x(2)-7x+12

Which basically means 1/1. Right?

5. 3x(2)+4x-4
/ 4-9x

Okay. No matter how hard I try, I ccouldn't factorise the top in the form (3x+ )(x- ) but then something hit me.

(1.5x-1)(2x+4) = 3x(2)+6x-2x-4 = 3x(2)+4x-4!
Right, so I've factorised the top. Now for the bottom, simple.

(2+3x)(2-3x) = 4-6x+6x-9x(2) = 4-9x(2)
Brilliant! I've factorised both Numerator and Denominator.

(1.5x-1)(2x+4)
/(2+3x)(2-3x)

So wonderful... where's the fuggin' common factor! This sucks.

Okay, you can't factorise any of these properly (easily, you probably can with some overly complicated method), they suck. I wanna see if anybody knows how to solve them. I'm interested in the technique and answer now. And one of you better know!

[x(m-2n) + y(m-2n)]/[(m-2n)(m+2n)]
(x+y)(m-2n)/(m-2n)(m+2n)
(x+y)/(m+2n)

(2-x)/(x+2)(x-2)
(-1)(x-2)/(x+2)(x-2)
-1/(x+2)

(x+2)(3x-2)/(2-3x)(2+3x)
(x+2)(3x-2)/(-1)(3x-2)(2+3x)
-(x+2)/(3x+2)

Dammit, why haven't I destroyed algebra yet?

Oh yes, I don't have enough power in my genesis device.

math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry are helpful especially if you plan on taking a software (especially games) programming career..
