Smoking pot will never, ever kill you. You could smoke pounds and pounds of the stuff and you'd wouldn't die. Sorry, it's just not toxic enough.

But that's not even the issue. The thing is, we live in a free society, and in a free society you should be able to put whatever you want into your own body. When the government says you can't smoke this or drink that, they're restricting your core rights as a human being.

Uh, you have FAR less control over your body while drunk, as opposed to being high on pot. I've been with my friends, walking down town while they were high. They weren't stumbling into the middle of the road or forgetting about traffic. They were mostly giggling stupidly at benches and plants and stuff.

On the flip side, I've seen my friends drunk too. They proceeded to "miss" lots of doorways and even a toilet altogether. Then there's the whole "drunk driving" thing too, which every one seems to talk about.

I wont contest that, but there's no way I'm going to conceed that pot is worse than alcohol. So why not legalize it? Everybody who wants to use it is already using it, and getting it ANYWHERE (even Houghton) isn't hard. Why not save the police and stoners the trouble and just legalize the damn stuff?

The only way you kill yourself by smoking pot is what you smoke it with ect. and if you do something overwhelmingly stupid, like climb over rooftops. Then again, as we covered earlier, it's not very likely you wanna do that.

Alchohol is far more likely to kill you than pot is. I can concede the laziness of nations due to it, but there will always be those against the use of it and I know some guys who are successful and do some government work yet still smoke pot. But point is, yes you are more likely to fall off a rooftop when high, but you're more likely to get distracted by the prospect of sitting around and "monging out" when on pot.

Alchohol is a LOT worse for you. But here's the way I see it: As long as I'm, not tying you to a chair and forcing you to smoke pot and listen to the grateful dead, why does it matter?

All drugs should be legalized. It would actually be in the government's interest, because then they could tax the hell out of it, just like cigarettes.

War, LSD is not a drug, it simply has materials that mess with psychochemical (I am not sure if this is the word for it in English) components within your brain.

drugs should be unbanned, but the government should ration the amount one can buy per a month to prevent abuse by the common civilian.

But "pills" (they are not truly drugs, mind you) should be banned. a single "pill" can easily fuck you up for life and drive you insane, and most of them produce "random" effects, And allowing chaos into someone's mind will lead to trouble.

Truly, Compared to "Pills", even alcohol seems harmless, not to speak of drugs.

Though, for the record, I do not drink, smoke, take drugs, or psychochemical effecting materials (when I can avoid them, that is, some medicine contains them)

My friends and 2 of his mates were walking down town near the local bus station. His 2 friends hated each other and basically one threatened to chop the others bollocks off with a broken bottle and promptly walked off.
My mate and his freind walked off down an alleyway but as they reached the other side they were stopped my the police by 4 police cars and a Riot van with cops running left right and centre shouting "GET DOWN!" When asked why they needed 4 cars and a riot van some policewoman answered "Becuase we received reports of broken bottles being used as weapons," Not only was a broken bottle on mentioned and not actually used, 4 cars and a riot van for 3 people?! Realising my mate posed no threat they cleared off but one of the cops poured all their beer down the drain and they were both 18 (18 is the legal drinking age in England).
