Rm2K - Graphics squeezed

Postby SeeK » Sun Jun 25, 2006 12:50 pm

When I got my new computer, I downloaded Rm2K, of course. But when I tried playing A Blurred Line, the graphics were squeezed in the middle of the screen in full-screen mode. Same with every other Rm2K game. Rm2K3 also does this, but not RmXP.

I've got a Radeon X1900XT with Catalyst 6.5.

If anyone knows what's causing this, or if it's possible to fix without uninstalling the drivers (it doesn't happen if no graphics drivers are installed), please, share it. This is really annoying, now that The Way's been re-released.

Hmm... guess the drivers just don't work with Rm2K, then. Too bad... guess I'll have to play windowed.

Simple. Press F4.

I'm using 6.5 (no CCC) and a X850XT and I don't get squeezed picture.

No CCC? Huh, maybe I should try that. After all, ATI Tray Tools is pretty damn good. I'll try it.

EDIT: It didn't work. Shit.

I ditched CCC because it seems to cause more trouble with FPS in games like BF2.

F4 toggles between windowed and full.

But I'm pretty sure the problem was that in "Full" it's centered and shrunk down to, my guess here, about the same size as windowed. That's a problem I had with my computer...So I stopped playing the game...cos I beat it.

I know that. I just didn't think he was asking that. It's when it's IN full that it's squashed and Windowed always sucks. There's too much to distract me around the screen.

I think some newer graphics cards cannot do 340x240 (or something) rez.
But there should be an option in the properties or something.
The same thing happened for me when I tried to play, but I had just overid the rez change... wierd.
