Alright its this weekend and I'm in love with the world of mixed martial arts. Wanted to know if anyone else shares my obsession. And if you do then you know that there is two big fights this weekend, one for pride, and one for the heavyweight gold.

Yea Ken "the worlds most dangerous man" Shamrock, former heavyweight champion, UFC hall of famer. Was on WWE wrestiling for a little while.

WWE and Martial Arts (The Proper sort based on actual skill) do not mix. Wrestling is not a martial art. Wrestling is basically using your own wieght to find new exotic ways to sit on your opponent. Martial Arts is something that's good (Which unfortunatly excludes Judo), I'm talking like, Muay Thai and shit. Somebody make a good Thai Boxing topic.

What is Judo anyway?

From what I know it's all about finding different ways to defend yourself by using your opponents force against them, fancy locks and stuff... but if thats all it's about then how do they hold tournaments and contests and stuff... I mean somebody has to do the attacking.

And from what I've seen it looks a bit like wrestling except defending instead of attacking... and of course minus the gay outfits, lame moves and arrogant strutting.

WWE has nothing to do with the UFC. The wrestling the use in Mixed Martial Arts is either Roman Greeco Wrestling or Freestyle. Wrestling is actually on of the most important background in the sport.

What is Judo anyway?

Judo is basicly a lot of throwing your your opponet, using his momentum against him. And yes their a lot of submissions that people use that are technically from Judo and others forms, but submissions are pretty simple and I do most of the effective one.

Yes, but it's still the fact it's WRESTLING and is NOT A MARTIAL ART AND COMPLETELY SUCKS AND IS EVEN WORSE THAN JUDO. Because judo can be used against people who don't have a clue about self-defence or... attacking people, while Wrestling... everybody knows how to fuggin' wrestle, it's like, basic instinct. It's the most talentless, boring, mind-numbing "sport" imaginable and requires little to no talent what-so-ever.

So yeah. I don't like wrestling.

I lost faith in wrestling when they introduced John Cena, the eminem of wrestling....He sucked nuts. And he would taunt people with his gangsta gangsta flavah flave rapping.

You're right...You play Badminton and that pseudo baseball sport, right? What's it called? Oh, yeah, Cricket....

I'm dead serious, those 2 sound cooler than wrestling. And if you allowed people to hit eachother with folding chairs, then wrestling would be left in the dust.

Cricket sucks too. Badminton's nice, but neither Badminton or Tennis can stand up to Squash (played by professionals so it's actually good, mind). And over here, we hit people with chairs all the time... it doesn't even matter.

Wrestling is not a talent sport i agree...it's a man sport. If wrestling is so horrible then how come half the guys come from strong wrestling backgrounds. Matt Hughs, who by the way stomped matial arts expert Graci comes from wrestling...Randy Cotoure is a former free style wrestling champion, he is the only guy ever to win the light heavy weight and heavy weight championship. The list goes on.
