Yes, but sling is just as slow on this idea as I was on the origonal ring idea (I use that face too much) ANYWAY... (I do that to much too...) If it's wide enough, it really doesn't matter what way people go. Plus, sense sling believes in the rolling mists (FOOL!) those might stop you from taking a short way around.

Possibly, but that depends on how fast the rolling mists are really going. It can't be moving too quickly if wanderers by and large haven't actually seen it and lived to tell about it, while at the same time they're building large settlements like Estrana.

I wasn't talking about the Inner Circumfrence. I thought JLAF was saying you could reach the End of the Way by go sideways around the current section of the ring instead of going forward. I didn't realise that JLAF was intelligent enough to realise about the the differences between the inner and outer circumfrences.

I must admit there is a shorter way if you travel along the inner circumfrence but the difference between the inner and outer circumfrences aren't that great. It depends on the size of the ring. If the ring is distance between the current location and the End of the Way is the diameter of Jupiter's equator on the inner circumfrence it doesn't really matter as it would still take a bloody long time.

I must admit, I didn't look at things from a flawed perpesctive, I apologise, I will try to do so from now on.

I basically agree with Sling. If the Way is long enough, and we assume that noone has been the whole way round it, then as far as the wanderers are concerned, the inside or the outside would be pretty similar. Of course, one might wonder whether they notice the lack of a real horizion, as opposed to the very real horizon on the outside, but this is all speculation

The Way is most likely to be collossal in size.

Call me a sceptic, but the whole torus thing just isn't doing it for me. For some reason it doesn't feel right. I mean sure, it may make sense, but it's like something out of a sci-fi B-movie, or a HALO ripoff (HALO still rocks.) It just isn't congruent with the world of the Way as it's been directly shown to us in the game.

Somehow, that sounds a lot more reasonable than you'd think. It kinda fits with this: "The Way... what is it? When did this journey for all humankind begin?" And this is the "informed" Traziun speaking. So it's journey anyway. I dunno about endless, but the Idea I formed in my head doesn't take the shape of anything reognizable. IMO it is a path, so to speak, that funnels wanderers along itself, whatever twists and turns it makes. Look at the pano from the map "a small choice" (near the end of E6) and that's more or less what I mean. Of course I have no evidence...

Where as there is evidence that the way loops in atleast the direction which people travel, and is either endless or loops (more likly looping) in the others. Means it's probably either a normal planet or sling's ring.
