I've been here for two years and I know his name, what he looks like, where he lives (to an extent), and other crap I've heard from various stories in IRC. How much this information counts for is debatable, but the point I'm making is that I learned most of this in the chat, and a little on AIM, but not so much on the boards. So "lurking" (which anyone can claim to have done whether they did or not, and doesn't make you a fucking regular) doesn't really count for all that much as far as knowing him goes.
