Here we have users. Not on your forums where there may be you and two other people posting. We have many topics. To go through and lock every old topic would be tedious and wasteful. Jeramyu doesn't have patience with us as it is so we don't want to make his job harder.

Maybe if you restrained yourself from posting in old topics, this wouldn't be a problem, much less discussion, at all.

Besides, I'm sure perceptions of 'old' would vary from person to person. If a topic isn't popular, it will fade out, and recieve no more posts, thus elminating the need to lock it.
