Sorya could very easily not be dead. When Rhue was supposedly about to kill her, he thought "No." So he probably did leave, although I originally thought he killed her.

That's only when Rhue and Sorya are on good terms with each other. Otherwise (look at the controller event for the map in RM2k) the switch Fate of Sorya gets set to ON. I guess that says enough.
