Would you really want to see Carnage in Spider-man 3, with no build-up or anything, just appearing? You'd have to skip the suit and Venom to get there that fast. I'd rather see him in Spider-man 5 or something (they're planning for 6 movies, and if they keep raking in the millions like this, they'll do it.)

I agree with you, though. Maybe Spiderman 3 will be just a build up movie, for something HUGE happening in Spiderman 4.

If you've ever read the comic, or know a little about it, then you already know that it's going to be Green Goblin II. He kills Spider-man's baby.

Not to mention that in the end of the new one, Harry finds his dad's stash of Goblin Gear.

Also: They've said that they're doing Spider-man 3 for sure, but they don't know if they can get all the same actors together for a fourth, which may be a cause not to do as many as they'd like.

Carnage could kick Venom's ass any day, BTW.

The Hobgoblin is not related to the Green Goblin (I or II) except in name.

But Venom is really cool too.

If I remember the storyline rightly, then Venom/Carnage will be in S-M 4.
It will probably be Venom though.

They'd have to do Venom, then Carnage if they stick with the comic. And before that even, they'd have to get the suit onto Spider-man. I bet they could do the suit and Venom in one movie, and then Carnage in another.

Rumor has it that Harry might be the Hobgoblin rather than Green Goblin II in the next movie.
