This song caused a lot of outrage here in Australia. But most of you guys probably don't have a clue who people like Kerry Packer, Peter Brock, Belinda Emmet, Anna Coren, or Martin Bryant are.

Martin Bryant was a very interesting person.

I know who Martin Bryant is.

What I want to know is, why do governments think that banning weapons prevents murder? There are plenty of house-hold items that can be used to kill someone, not to mention home-made weapons and even if people don't think of that... bare fists.

That is a moot-point Sling. Believe me you can kill someone alot faster with a gun then you can with a say a blender. Its not the fact that you someone could kill someone else with a weapon, but the fact that you can much more easily do so. Also it can cause people to actually kill someone instead of just hurting them.

So you're saying shooting at someone with a homemade rocket launcher is and less dangerous than a handgun? And you're saying it would also take slower?

Besides dying quickly is a good thing. Which would be less painful a bullet through the head or someone beating you constantly with a cricket bat?

EXACTLY!!!

I also learnt the other day not was the Tri-Tone banned in the Medieval period but they (the catholic church) also banned most of the notes in the major scale becuase they sounded "pleasureable". What the heck is up with that?
