Somthing from Lufia I think. Boss battle maby?

Unless it's from Lufia 4: The Ruins of a Great Series, it's not from a Lufia game. If it was from another Lufia game, and you got it first, I would've been super ban-happy pissed, because I was down on a computer lab on campus (with no speakers/headphone jacks) when I was reading the forum, musing over whether or not I should bike back to my dorm just to listen to it. And Zalbak knows I love my Lufia games and their music.

XD

Yeah, the music reminds me of the Super Nintendo installments of the series, but that's not actually a track from any of the games. No idea where it's from.

This is well past the SNES.

I think a lot of it is pretty memorable, but the huge giveaway for the game starts around a minute in... The music there is very similar to the absolute first thing you hear in this game.

I'll just lock in Suikoden 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, just in case.

Well, it doesn't look like we have any clue. Again.

*sigh* Are all your friends losers, too? It was Ikaruga. Ikaruga. You're probably not hardcore enough.

I'm still not giving away the other song. No way, that's far too easy.

This one has two answers, so there's only one point for each. It's really very easy, though. At least one of those games, everyone here should have played.

That is:

A. The second Brinstar theme from Super Metroid.
B. The Hydrodynamo Station music from Metroid Prime 2.

Dammit Sage, you're pathetic. Get on faster and this won't happen.

Jeramyu and the people getting their asses kicked by him

Jeramyu: 9
Sage of the Wise: 4
Teenr0cker: 1

It would be easier to stump Jera if I knew exactly what he hadn't played, but it seems like anything he hasn't played, nobody else has either, and so nobody ever gets the points (don't you have some gamer friends who haven't just played the same games as you?). Let's see what's next...

Non-obscure game, obscure song.

Mmmph. I know I've heard that one before, but I can't remember where. This is going to drive me nuts...

There are games you can probably figure I've never played, but Metroid? Come on now...

Temple of Droplets - Minish Cap

One of the few non LA Zelda songs that hasnt been used 100+ times (i think).

Goddamn it. I was checking over the Oracles because I knew it sounded Zelda-y, and I was going to check Minish Cap but I forgot. Curses.

I figured anyone could get that one. I thought the Metroid Prime 2 part might be a little harder, though.

I'm surprised nobody has played Ikaruga, though.

Sage got it, and I'd appreciate if you didn't "check over" your music looking for the song. That's close enough to cheating, and it gives you an unfair advantage. This is supposed to be based on what you already know, however vaguely.

Zelda dungeon music almost never gets reused, so anything would have done from a dungeon. And there's loads of other Zelda music exclusive to one game, of course, there are just a few recurring themes. The lack of LA music in other Zelda games is sad, though, because it's amazing.

I'll change the scores later. Until now, here's something from quite possibly the easiest composer in video games to recognise without knowing the exact song:

Edit: Just to clarify, checking to make sure your guess is right is fine. I can't stop you from doing that, and there's no point in making pointless random guesses and waiting for me to respond on a forum. But checking to look for the song defeats the point of doing this.
