Theory About Rhue's Memory

Postby the_4 » Fri Aug 06, 2004 10:18 am

Ok, I heard about this whole "Gaius and Midian kill Rhue whose aura takes over Midian's body" theory, and first of all, I think this idea is plausible. If this is what happened, then let's talk about the two shadow figures who give young Rhue his sword. Maybe those two are Gaius and Midian. Maybe this is when they kill Rhue, and since the experience is traumatic and confusing, all he remembers is coming out of the whole thing with a sword (when he ends up in Midian's body).

The only question is, why did they kill an innocent kid? Well, maybe this whole attack was planned by them (we've seen how Gaius has some odd sort of authority, at the end of ep. 5), and they needed to prevent people from escaping.

To top this all off, remember that we have no idea how long Rhue has been searching for Serena. We assume it's been at least more than ten years, since he looks to be in about his twenties and at the time of the massacre he was about ten, I'd say. But really, it could be much less than that amount of time. If my theory up to now is correct, then Rhue is much younger than he looks, because he was only a child when he was transferred to Midian's body, which he now holds (or so I'm assuming for now).

The problem with this is that I checked ep. 2, and the shadow figures look nothing like Gaius and Midian/Rhue. This could be minor, as Rhue obviously doesn't have a perfect memory...I don't know. What do you think?
