The newman hunter is a female. Don't let that put you off, though, it's a good character. Probably the only one capable of using good techs AND physical attacks (since FOmar isn't in this version).
Ryan's changing his mind a lot about whether or not he's playing, so FOnewearl is a good choice if you want a magic user.

All the characters we don't already have are girls, so if you're really desperate to have a male character, go with something we only have one of.

By the way, I have a REALLY urgent request for people already playing: While playing online earlier today, one of my weapons disappeared. It just vanished for no reason whatsoever, and I'm really pissed off about it. It was a Gigush, with a positive percentage against Dark-type enemies. It is found in the Mines. If you get a Gigush with a dark %, I REALLY, REALLY need it. I'll pay for it. I desperately need a sword to beat Ruins.
