The baby should be able to be killed at any time during pregnancy. This may sound horrible but my reason is simple.

It is not a seperate being until it comes out of the mother. It is attached to her and she is in charge. Just like I believe suicide should be legal having an abortion should be legal. It's her decision.

I still stick to my opinion that children should be able to be aborted up to 2 years.

True, more babies do build the economy, but more babies thrown in trash cans left for dead, do not. I think abortion is ok, simply because it is a woman's right. Why should religious fanatics have a say in what OTHER PEOPLE DO WITH THEIR LIVES?

Actually, there is awaiting list a mile, size 8 font, long to adopt babies (I know because I've looked into it rather seriously) The problem is teh government makes adoption an incredibly expensive process. (around 20k) It would be much eaier to o tighten controls on abotion if these restrictive adoption policies were ended.

Secondly you asked what right do we have to say what others shoudl do with their lives? Very simple we believe we are our brotehrs keepers. (one of the first stories in the bible shows the drastic and horrible consequences should one fail to do this) Therefore we try to save people from injuring themselves and others.

"Sin" can easily be described as the same choice a child has about whether to put their finger in the electrical socket, or running out in the street. Just becasue they can do it doesn't mean they should. A loving parent will actually spank their child to prevent the child doing such a thing. This parent is using a lesser injury (insulting the childs pride) to prevent a greater injury (potential death / loss of limb). The parent does not punish or prevent their child because they hate them or are mean spirited (the child might think this) but out of love.

Thus the reason "religious folk" mess with the law making process is out of love.

Doesn't christianity (and probably anything else) say it's a sin to masturbate or have premarital sex? Now uh... why do people follow any religion?

keep in mind that "sin" is most easily definded as anything that hurts oneself or another... It can also be defined as choosing a lesser good.

Actually, having read through the Bible it says nothing aginst mastubation. It does condem lust and forbids premarital sex (If you obey this wise suggestion there is a signifcantly less desire for an abortion.) Keep in mind all the problems that can result from premarital sex... Think about it if everyone practiced abstinacne till marriage and there was no homosexuality then AIDS would have only killed the guy who bit by the monkey and Africa would not have the orphan problem it has now. It someone had simply resisted their desire to do what they wanted all those lives and families would have been spared. Your choices affect everyone around you no matter how private you think it is.

I would prefer to keep selfish choosers out of my neigbor hood but that would be selfish of me. SO teh best I'm left with is teaching them to choose more wisely.

I love the Chaos theory... The related 5-24 dimensional theories even scientifically allows for the presence of Angels and deamons.
If you have never read "Hyperspace" I strongly recommend it.

That and the chaos theory can be used as a fairly strong aguemnent for the existance of God.

I talk about this one for awhile but...

The book "Hyperspace" combines Chaos theory, Fractals, and multidimensional theories into one fairly easily understood book for laymen. I can't remember the author's name I think it starts with an "M".

The Chaos theory has actually already been used to fix telephone interfenance and make our internet connaections faster.

It can be observed in turbulence, and waether (butterfly effect). can be used to play the stockmarket (There is a good movie on this one). It can used to explain animal populations, and even the virulence of teh flu each winter.

Basically the smallest choices have massive unforseen consequences.

Yep. Kicking a stone in ancient Mesopotamia 6000 years ago started WW2. Not to mention all the stuff we know that lead up to it. 8)
