And don't waste your time spouting off again that this is only a theory, and you're not claiming it's absolutely true. I know all this. I was simply evaluating the theory you suggested--i.e., that there were other destroyed cities, and that their existence could solve the problem of the difference in time scales. From your later comments ("Maybe there isn't just a single cycle"), I can assume that you have accepted my arguments that this solution is untenable.
What you are claiming is that there's very strong evidence that there is some form of cyclicity. (After all, it's made you "pretty damn certain.") There are suggestions of a cyclicity, but I prefer to reserve judgement. I have pointed out some facts that appear to run contrary to this theory and some that seem to support it. I have no agenda, except to work out what is going on.
